Description:
Reservoir 9A was erected in 1977 and Reservoir 16 in 1994. West Yost Associates conducted a safety, security, and code evaluation on the reservoirs/tanks. To bring up to code numerous improvements were recommended. The scope of work includes improvements to the ringwall foundation (including additional foundation reinforcing steel and additional anchorage embedment), reinforcement or replacement of several shell courses due to excessive shell stresses, and improvements to the interior center support columns and roof. Improvements to water pump stations S16 and S17 will be made to improve firefighting capabilities and improve system redundancy such as the installation of 1,500 gpm high-flow pumps and VFD's.
Fall 2025: As of early Sept plans are approximately 70% complete. |
