Stony Point Road Widening and Reconstruction Phase 2 - Sebastopol Road to Hearn Ave

Description: The purpose of this project will be to ease traffic congestion by widening Stony Point Road to four lanes from Hearn Avenue to Sebastopol Road. The addition of travel and turn lanes, new sidewalks, bicycle lanes, and updated traffic signal upgrades will increase road safety along this vital north-south corridor. The project also includes the installation of new water main and water services, sewer main stubs to currently undeveloped parcels and storm drains.

ROAD WIDENING AND RECONSTRUCTION WORK IS UNDERWAY: Construction of this roadway widening project is now underway. For your convenience, a special website and social media pages have been created to help keep you informed about this project.


During construction there will be traffic control and detours. At times access to sidewalks and street parking may be restricted or closed. Night work may be necessitated in order to lessen impacts during peak commute hours. The project is anticipated to be completed by December 2016 pending weather delays and unforeseen circumstances.

Portions of Stony Point Road and Hearn Avenue to be Closed for Repaving, July 21-24, 2017: Friday, 9 PM, July 21 Monday, 6 AM, July 24, 2017 Stony Point Road from West Hearn to Pearblossom Drive and Hearn Avenue from Stony Point to Old Stony Point. There will be NO access to Stony Point from West Hearn. Residents living on West Hearn must detour through Park Meadow to Rosevine to Pearblossom to access Stony Point Road North. Thank you for your cooperation and patience.

Drive carefully and follow detour signage. Flaggers will assist with traffic 24 hours a day at the intersection of Pearblossom and Stony Point.
