Annual Slurry Seal 2017

Estimated Construction Schedule: Slated to begin July, 2017 and is anticipated to be completed August, 2017.

Description: The purpose of this slurry seal project is to restore the pavement's ability to prevent water intrusion, correct minor cracking and improve skid resistance. This procedure includes covering (primarily residential) city streets with a thin, quarter-inch roadway coating of liquid asphalt and sand. Priorities for street selections are established by the Pavement Management System.
